We had two parents who have applied for our two open positions on our SAC, and we are excited to welcome them to our committee. Please see their information below:

My undergraduate degree is in Elementary Education. My graduate degree is in Counseling Psychology and currently am the Clinical Director for a national non profit; making mental health affordable and accessible to all who want it. I have experience in the classroom as a teacher and also as a school counselor. I have experience in leadership both in my personal and religious community and in a professional environment. I am not your ‘typical’ leader. I am one that wants to listen to what the needs and road blocks are and willing to put any idea on the table for consideration, I believe that there are often third ways that get thrown out of brainstorming spaces. I am passionate about our neighborhood school as I grew up a few miles from here and had the amazing benefits of getting my K-12 education from DCSD.

I strongly think that an informed person is an empowered one. The thing I would like to focus on most is the parent involvement in the school. I want parents to feel empowered about their school choice. Parents should be a team with the teachers and the school and I think that SAC feels inaccessible to many people. I would like to find an easier way for SRE parents to get involved and excited to be involved at SRE and in SAC. I know every person has a limit on how much they can be involved in our school and I would like to help make even the person that feels most disconnected or “short on time” feel like they can be part of our school.

I am a member of PTIO, am heading up the Battle of the Books team for Saddle Ranch, and have been an active volunteer in numerous events. My children have ben going to Saddle Ranch for three years now and have come to know the staff and students in that time. Saddle Ranch is a great school with great humans that work and learn there. I work or have worked at multiple occupations and have many skills that I can bring to Saddle Ranch. I am an auditor so I have great organizational skills as well as understand the fundamentals of the most efficient order of operations to multiple tasks. I have also ran my own woodworking business and understand management and best ways to save on costs and time.

I love Saddle Ranch and my kids love Saddle Ranch! I want to participate in as much as I can to help create the best educational environment for the school, staff, and kids!
